Lunar new year is always the festival that we love the most since we are young. We can receive lots of red packets from families, friends and even strangers. We can also taste different kinds of cakes and cookies that are served on the tables. Lunar new year is really a good festival to gather all the families and friends together. Everyone can gather together and become closer during the visiting.
You should know about these!
According to the tradition, we can't receive any red packets except from the parents once we are married. Because red packets are only for children and we are consider as an adult once we get married.
According to the folk custom, we are not allow to sweep the floor on the first few days of lunar new year. Because we might sweep away all the lucks. Besides, we need to clean our house before the first day of lunar new year, which means to clean away all the unlucky things and bring the lucks in.
